Check-in / Check-out times?
Check-in 15:30 (latest 18:00) / Check-out 11:00. For security, the front gate remains closed until 15:30.
Is early check-in possible?
Yes — paid early check-in from 14:30 is available. Please arrange in advance via email or phone.
Can I extend check-out?
Extensions cost ¥10,000 per hour, up to 13:00. Subject to availability.
Can children stay?
We are sorry — we can accommodate guests of junior-high-school age and above.
Do you offer transfers?
We do not operate a shuttle service. Please come by rental car, taxi or bus.
Dietary restrictions & allergies?
Please let us know when you reserve. We accommodate as far as possible.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Corkage at dinner is ¥3,300 per bottle.
How do I use the private open-air bath with sauna?
The private open-air bath with sauna is available 15:30–21:00 in private 40-minute sessions. Reservation is recommended, the last entry is 21:00, and daily slots are limited. The open-air rock bath Gekkou Sakura no Yu is available March to the end of November and may be closed in poor weather.
When do cancellation fees apply?
100% of the room charge on the day of stay and one day before, 50% three days before, and 30% seven days before.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. Payment in a single instalment only. We accept VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, American Express, UC and UnionPay. If you are hosting guests, we ask for payment by bank transfer in advance.
Can you help with an anniversary?
We can prepare a whole cake, a bouquet, or a flower arrangement for ¥5,000 each. All require advance reservation.
Can I book on the day?
For same-day stays, booking online is the most reliable. Please check availability on the reservation page.
Is there a shop or vending machine?
There is no shop or vending machine. Drinks provided in your villa are complimentary, with a few exceptions.
Can I smoke in the villa?
All villas are non-smoking, including electronic cigarettes. There is one designated smoking area, marked on the in-house map.
Is the ryokan barrier-free?
We are sorry — it is not. The buildings follow the natural terrain, so there are steps and level changes throughout.
May I take photographs?
Photography inside the ryokan, and publishing those images online, are subject to our terms. Please telephone us before booking.
Can I drive there in winter?
Heavy snow is uncommon here. If you are concerned, please call us about conditions before you travel.
